Mr Leonidou is a fellowship trained UK Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a subspecialty interest in Upper Limb Surgery and Sports Injuries. He returned in Athens in 2019, having worked for 14 years in the United Kingdom. He trained in Orthopaedics in the South East Kent and completed the prestigious world-renowned upper limb fellowship at the Reading Shoulder and Elbow Unit. Prior to his return, he was a substantive Orthopaedic Consultant at East Kent University Hospitals.
He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Shoulder and Elbow Society and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Mr Leonidou has vast experience in the management of general trauma as well as complex upper limb trauma. He is an instructor for the Advanced Trauma Life Support Course and teaches twice a year at Guy’s Hospital in London.
He speaks English fluently and together with his multi-disciplinary team provides state of the art world-class care to his patients in Greece.
